Touge Masters: Prototype Stage

Touge Masters: Prototype Stage is a proof of concept for a racing game inspired by mountain racing culture and related media such as the animated TV series "Initial D".

The game/prototype features a single serpentine mountain pass track and two game modes to race on it: Time Trial and Duel.

Time Trial: Try and beat the track time record, and afterwards your own best time

Duel: Try and be the first to cross the finish line, but be careful, racing on the mountains is about skill not aggression, so don't try to bump your opponent off the track, or else you'll fail the race. The opponent AI features dynamic pathfinding and obstacle avoidance!

The driving model is semi realistic, requiring a bit of skill and practice to master. The game also features both automatic and manual gearbox transmission.

Future of the project: The final vision is a game that lives and breathes mountain racing culture, with classic JDM inspired cars, tuning and customization, and a campaign that takes you from track to track to beat the local crews, with exciting uphill and downhill duels and other racing challenges.
